So very sad to hear this news.. Helen was an absolutely amazing woman and true lover and hero to animals.
We had the pleasure of selling a team of Friesians to her through her trainer, for one of our customers. She was so excited to “finally be able to drive four in hand and compete with her sister”.
She took in animals from all over the world that needed to be rescued. It didn’t matter how exotic or where they were from. She had wolves, who we introduced each horse to, so they would not be afraid of them. She took in dogs from all over the country that “couldn’t be rehabbed or placed” and hired trainers to do everything they could to retrain them. The dogs who couldn’t find a home after being in her program, she would keep for the rest of their lives.
She loved her Fell ponies as well and it was a joy to see her with them. The sport lost another amazing horsewoman this week. Condolances to all those who knew and loved her. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/19pdissavR/?mibextid=wwXIfr
