I am by no means a professional pet behaviorist, but I’d like to share this as an educational moment. People always say, either you’re a cat person or you’re not. To me, it’s more like you’re educated on how to treat a cat and how to respect boundaries, or you’re not.

Here is one of my clients I’ve had for a couple years, but they got this cat later down the road. He has had a tough road before they got him and he is the best example I can give on how important reading animal behavior is. He is one of those that only likes to be pet at certain times and certain lengths of time. I took this video to show an example that respecting boundaries and letting the cat set the pace of interaction and attention.

Happy May everyone! A couple of things to announce, first since I am doing this full time, my schedule is starting to fill up fast so if you are needing care anytime in the near future please go ahead and put in for the dates! Secondly, my website will be getting a makeover and the Four Paws Pet Care App is in production now so it will soon be a thing! Good news is they will both be the app/site. No, it will not be available in the App Store but I will be able to give you a direct link and show you how to make it an app on your phone.
