The flies are out of control this summer. Tracy put out a request on her Milkshake and Jojo page for fly spray so I thought I would share the Amazon wish list. The spray is supposed to last for a couple of weeks but it's really more like one day, maybe two. If you can help with a supply here or there it really makes a difference!

We hatched 8 eggs this Spring with the farm school and it looks like 4 of them are roosters. The Cream Crested Legbar is already a favorite of a couple of the hens but roosters aren’t welcome here for guest safety. Anyone want a new rooster for their flock?

Flashback to winter 2024 after the hurricane hit WNC…thanks to your donations I made a connection there and met two wonderful families and fell in love with some goats at their hobby farm. When life required them to find a new home for their favorite goat (and one that stole my heart), they reached out. Please welcome Sophia and Blanche, 2 of the Golden Girls. Let me tell you, they are a warming up to their new place and will be favorites in no time! Welcome sweethearts!

PS- Sophia is tiny and WILL steal your heart…. I’m just saying….

The Teen Job Readiness Workshop is now live. Your teen will finish these workshops with a completed resume, the foundation needed to secure a job and the confidence required when participating in an interview. This workshop will be in two sessions. $30 per session per student.

Part One will cover what a teen needs to get started, including building a resume with no previous work experience, youth employment certificates, and much more. These sessions will be limited to 10 teens and will be offered on the following dates:
May 16 10:00-11:30
May 20 5:30-7:00
May 21 3:30-5:00

Part Two is where we will review the resume they have created and actually practice interviewing. Teens will leave prepared to attend an interview with confidence and skills to answer many frequently asked interview questions. Part Two will be offered on the following dates:
