Many may not know that we have a personal relationship with autism. This is my 9 year old grandson, Brayden, who lives with us, and has been diagnosed with Autism. One of the reasons we bought this farm in 2020 was for him to have a space where we felt he could safely explore (he loves worms and sticks). At the time, he was not very nice to our small dog, so we never knew how things might turn out with animals. Seems they turned out great! Yesterday he spent some time with Tracy Schmitz who owns Milkshake and Jojo, loving on the animals. He even got a first time ever chance to pet Dozer while he was laying down! Big thanks to John at Mans Best Friend K9 Academy for working with Dozer.

If you would like to love on a cow and donkey like this, please look into our Cow and Donkey Snuggles. These spots are limited to 7 people per session and last for an hour. Perfect unique experience and animal therapy!

Thank you Tracy, for helping him love on the babies! He was so proud of himself.

Hands-on, nature-filled learning for curious kids & their families!

Weekly Schedule:

🐥 Mondays – Ages 3–6
Gentle introduction to farm life with age-appropriate animal encounters, crafts, and outdoor play. Perfect for our youngest learners!

🐐 Wednesdays – Ages 3–13
An exciting day of farm education for all ages! Kids will explore animal care, farm-based curriculum and nature skills in a supportive, interactive environment.

🚜 Thursdays – Family Day
Children (ages 3–13) enjoy a full Farm School session while parents & younger siblings join a special Farm Day experience. Activities will vary weekly — from exploring nature and animal visits to seasonal crafts and outdoor adventures!

🕒 Time: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
📍 Location: The Feathered Farm, Zebulon, NC
💲 Pricing: $175/month for one class day per week, $300/month for two days per week, $400/month for three days per week
