This is my best friend Jess and her amazing husband, Shaun. ❤️
If you know Shaun, you know asking for help is one of the hardest things he'll ever do. He's the kind of man who works tirelessly, puts his family first, and is always the first to help someone else—never the one asking for a hand.
While working two full-time jobs, attending college full-time, and caring for his family, Shaun still earned Honor Roll every semester. Because of this accident, he wasn't even able to walk across the stage at his graduation.
After being hit by an uninsured driver who initially fled the scene, Shaun is now facing a long recovery and time away from work.

This afternoon, Haven found our very first egg! 🎉

It's amazing how one tiny egg can bring so much excitement. These are the moments that make all the hard work worth it. Here's to the first of many!

Boujee Barnyard Update 🦃😂

Doctor: "Stay off your ankle." Me: "Best I can do is build an entire turkey pen."
Yep... surgery got pushed off until I "have time." (Spoiler alert: ranch life says that's never.)
The turkey pen is FINALLY DONE! 🎉
If you're looking for a DIY tutorial on aviary netting... I don't have one. My only advice is: ✔️ Patience. ✔️ A whole lot of foul words. ✔️ Wrestle the net until it finally gives up.
Don't ask me how I did it... I honestly couldn't tell you. It was one leg, pure stubbornness, and a little bit of ranch insanity.
Was it Plan A? Nope. Plan B? Also nope. Welcome to Plan C... and honestly, I think it's the best one yet.
The turkeys are out, safe, and happy... and that's all that matters! Tomorrow ELECTRIC FENCE!
