Effective Immediately !!!

Due to the on-going stalking, and public bashing from a certain individual and their need to make everything a competition, their disrespect of highly trained individuals like myself ... I am temporarily backing away from any and all recovery work till I find another path forward, if that is even possible.

This individual contacts every lost pet owner which leaves me doing the ethical and responsible thing and backing out of cases so as to not drag a distraught pet owner down their rabbit hole.

I appreciate all of you who have believed and trusted in the work I do and all your support over the past 10 years.

Right now, this is the only path I see forward although I keep praying for guidance 🙏

This page will remain as it stands today for educational purposes.

What matters is stopping the chaos and drama both in my life and for lost pet owners. It's hard to fathom that one person can cause so much divide in the lost pet community among so many, not just me but anyone they perceive as a threat including admins of lost and found groups.

The bigger person always has room for change and although I am walking away from doing a job I genuinely love doing, it is what is best for pet owners and their beloved pets.

God willing, I will be back, not here on FB but maybe elsewhere 🙏

SCAMMERS TARGET LOST PET OWNERS

When your beloved pet is missing, emotions are running high. Scammers know this.

One of the most common scams involves someone claiming they have found your pet and demanding money before returning them.

They may ask for payment through gift cards, prepaid cards, Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, or other methods. Some will even claim they need money for veterinary care, transportation, or boarding fees before you can see your pet.

Protect yourself by remembering these simple rules:

✅ Ask for current photos of your pet.

✅ Request a live video call.

✅ Ask questions only someone with your pet could answer.

✅ Meet in a safe public location.

✅ Never send money before seeing your pet.

🚩 Gift cards are one of the biggest red flags in fraud. Once the card information is provided and redeemed, recovering the money is often difficult or impossible.

If you have already been scammed:

• Stop all communication with the scammer.
• Save screenshots, phone numbers, emails, and messages.
• Report the profile, account, or page involved.
• Contact your bank, credit card company, or payment provider immediately.
• File a police report with your local law enforcement agency.
• Report the scam to federal authorities.

Did You Know, Your Lost Pet Post May Not Reach Most Of Havasu

One of the biggest misconceptions in lost pet recovery is believing that posting on Facebook means everyone has seen your post.

Unfortunately, that's not how Facebook works.

Even in large community and lost-and-found groups, your post is only shown to a fraction of members. Many people never see it in their news feed. Others may belong to multiple groups, live out of the area, or simply scroll past it.

That's why we stress the importance of effective neon posters.

A well-placed poster works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It reaches:

🐾 Drivers stopped at intersections
🐾 Neighbors walking their dogs
🐾 Delivery drivers
🐾 Visitors passing through town
🐾 People who are not on Facebook at all

Every sighting begins with someone recognizing your pet.

The more eyes on your pet, the greater the chance of generating sightings. The more sightings you receive, the better the opportunity to develop a recovery plan and bring your pet home safely.

When a pet goes missing, emotions run high.

Owners are scared. Friends want to help. Social media quickly fills with advice.

But one question often gets overlooked:

What training, experience, and credentials does the person offering help actually have?

Not everyone who inserts themselves into a lost pet case understands survival mode behavior, humane trapping, scent strategies, or the unintended consequences of certain recovery methods.

Good intentions alone do not make someone qualified.

Every action taken during a recovery effort can influence the outcome. A frightened dog can be pushed farther away, become more difficult to recover, or lose trust in an area where it was beginning to feel safe.

Before accepting guidance, ask questions.

✔ What training do you have?
✔ What recovery methods do you use?
✔ What experience do you have with lost pet cases?
✔ Can you explain why you recommend a particular strategy?

Titles, group memberships, and social media positions are not credentials.

Your pet's safety and well-being deserve more than assumptions.

🎆 13 Days Until Independence Day

Not all collars provide the same level of security.

Every year, pets go missing after slipping out of collars that were too loose or not designed for dogs that back away when frightened.

Before fireworks season is in full swing, take a few moments to check your pet's equipment:
✔ Is the collar properly fitted?
✔ Can it slip over the ears?
✔ Is the ID tag readable?
✔ Would a non-slip martingale collar be a safer option?

Martingale collars are especially helpful for newly adopted, fearful, skittish, and escape-prone dogs because they help prevent backing out while remaining safe and comfortable when properly fitted.

A few minutes spent checking equipment today could prevent a heartbreaking escape tomorrow when an unexpected fireworks go off.

Fireworks can often start going off a week ahead of July 4th.

Where you post matters !!!

Post only in Lost and Found Pet Groups. Avoid Community type groups where scammers watch for opportunities to take advantage of a distraught lost pet owner.

Never send money !!!

We hear feedback from our clients all the time on how they where scammed out of money ... this happens more then you know. Scammers watch certain type groups just waiting to prey on you.

If your pet goes missing, slow down, take a deep breath and join the groups in the attached graphic. Keep in mind if you do a search, the first group that comes up does not mean that is the best group.

The groups listed in the attached graphic are trusted sources with admins and moderators that truly care about you, your lost pet and providing a safe place for you to post.
