IMPORTANT UPDATE TO OUR POLICIES
At Pawsitively Pampered, my top priority is to ensure every client receives the highest quality service in a clean, stress-free, and loving environment.
Since returning from my maternity leave, I’ve
noticed an increase in dogs affected by skin mites and other infestations. These pests are not visible to the naked eye but can cause significant discomfort and potential harm to both pets and humans. They can linger on surfaces, bedding, and clothing for days if not treated properly. I have always gone above and beyond to maintain a pest-free space. However, the constant deep cleaning and daily insecticide use required to prevent re-infestation has become time consuming
costly and unhealthy for my family and me.
To help maintain a safe and healthy environment for everyone, I will now require all pets to be treated with a preventative product that protects against fleas, ticks, and mites prior to their grooming appointment.
Acceptable treatments include oral or topical
products prescribed by your veterinarian, or over-the-counter options such as Frontline Plus.
Oral preventatives are effective for up to
three months; topical treatments must be applied monthly. If I notice signs of infestation during grooming, I reserve the right to stop the session immediately.
Should you wish for grooming to continue, a deep-cleaning fee will apply. If your dog has allergies or skin issues, proof of a negative skin scraping from your veterinarian will be required. I truly care for every one of my furry clients and deeply value our relationships. I understand that some of you prefer holistic care options and may be hesitant about these treatments. Please know that this policy is necessary to protect the health and comfort of all pets who visit my salon, as well as my own family. Most grooming facilities, boarding kennels, and dog parks follow similar standards.
Thank you for your understanding and
cooperation. If you have a standing appointment and choose not to continue under these new guidelines, please notify me as soon as possible. I greatly appreciate your kindness, loyalty, and help in keeping Pawsitively Pampered a safe and welcoming space for everyone.
