Sweet Iggy is searching for a forever family. Iggy is a 1yr old stray from Detroit. He needs a quiet home with active people. A large fenced yard would be great. He is 100% excellent at retrieving. He is optimistic and sweet

He had a rough start to life and lacked stability. It will take him some time to settle in and feel safe. He hasn't ever shown any aggression but has had panic attacks that looks like a large puppy trying out "jumpy/bitey".

He loves treats, toys and running. He is a great snuggler. He could live with a playful nice dog who is indifferent to toys. Ideally no cats or young children. No chickens or birds.

Say hello to Thin Mint!

This handsome man is on the search for a home of his own! He is currently a training client of both Wiser Dog Training and K9 Turbo Training. We see so much potential in this guy and would love to see him find his perfect match!

Thin Mint does well with other dogs when he’s introduced properly. He would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and a family who is able to meet his physical and emotional needs. Thin Mint can get over stimulated when playing with other dogs but is doing very well with training.

Struggling with socializing your new puppy while stuck in social isolation?

Fortunately, it's still possible to provide your puppy with positive experiences without direct contact with people. It's a great idea to take your puppy to the back of parking lots, movie theaters, malls, or other places people gather and feed them treats every time they see people, dogs, cars, etc.

While you're stuck at home, consider feeding your puppy's meals during training. It's the perfect opportunity to work on handling, as well as creating a conditioned emotional response to sounds they run in to in every day life (like the doorbell and washer/dryer). Feeding out of enrichment toys will also teach your puppy problem-solving skills, build confidence, and encourage them to self-occupy.

Remember that our dogs can learn tricks and behaviors at any age, but puppies only have a small socialization window where it's much easier to teach them the world is safe. Taking advantage of this window encourages our puppies to grow in to optimistic adult dogs!

We have the cutest house guests! Snap, Crackle and Pop are visiting with us this week. They are having so much fun and establishing a great social foundation by eating treats, playing with kids of all ages and meeting lots of new people and dogs..
