With Agatha being adopted: I am officially closing up. I could not have done this without the support of my family, friends, and incredible vet-med staff. Remember to be kind to them always, they have HUGE hearts and deal with so much tragedy and hostility.

Special thanks to my Husband for always allowing me to bring home the sick and needy and also my Mother, for always having an open home to those I could not keep at mine. Thank you all for helping me save and better the lives of so many with your time, effort, and donations.

Rescue is the hardest and most rewarding thing I have ever been called to do. I'm sure I will return to it in the future.
With Love, Megz and Tinx πŸ–€

She has to be the only cat in a household, but does well with dogs and kids!

Agatha is looking for her forever home! She is a petite orange tabby lady who is estimated to be 2-4 years old.

Agatha tested well with kids and dogs.

Agatha did not test well with other cats. She must be the only cat in the household.

Agatha LOVES to explore and play. She has been leash tested indoors, but has not walked outside on the leash. She loves all kinds of toys and will entertain herself and you while she plays!

She is extremely loving. She is extremely vocal and always purring! She enjoys being held like a baby and carried around. She'll love to have a human to follow around and cuddle with!

Agatha has had a lot of medical care. She has struggled with chronic diarrhea. This is why/how she found her way to me. Most of her diagnostics were boring. And ultrasound showed the possibility of IBS, but the usual protocol/treatment is not enough to control her symptoms. Despite this she is happy and active. Next steps for her may include seeing a specialist.

Her medical care has included:
- vaccines
-spay
- deworming (treated giardia)
- felv/fiv (negative!)
- many baseline blood work panels
-f***l PCR
- GI specific blood panel
-toxoplasma blood panel (negative)
- radiographs
-ultrasound
- dental cleaning and extractions
-histopathology for suspicious gum area
- an abundance of different foods and medications

I want to stress that GI disease is a lifelong and difficult condition to manage. She will likely need at least a regimen of prescription food and medications to control symptoms. She is currently on a steroid, which is not ideal long term. Further diagnostics are recommended, but I cannot keep Agatha in care any longer, though it has been a privilege to get to know her. She deserves a home and a family. She will be an absolute TREASURE to any family who decides to take her on.

Her adoption fee is set at $300. It may seem high, but that is why I have listed all of the care she has received this far. This care is worth thousands and we are so grateful to everyone who has spent time and effort helping her get these things done. This is a great start for any veterinary specialist to work from.

PM Megz Roll for interest! Please share this post to help her find her purrrfect home!!

At this time I am closing intake. For my own mental health I am taking a break from rescue.

I have one cat still in my care and will continue to dedicate myself to getting her healthy enough to find her forever home.

I have dedicated my life to animals, but if I do not care for myself and my family first I will be doing these cats a disservice.

Thank you for your continued support!

An update on Sprout: unfortunately this little one did not make it. After struggling to regulate her temp and glucose she started to decline rapidly overnight. Her doctor and I had to make an extremely difficult and heartbreaking decision. She's at least, finally, at peace after struggling through her very short life. This is the hardest part of veterinary care and rescue. But I pledged to advocate for animals even when it's difficult and will continue to do so. Rest Peacefully Little Sprout. You were so loved πŸ’–

Meet Agatha and Sprout! They are my most recent intakes and I am DESPERATELY asking for donations towards their care!

Agatha: estimated 2 years old was a stray and has giardia we are treating before getting her normal wellness care and spay accomplished.

Sprout: was found outside and despite her size looking like a 2 week old, her teeth say she's closer to 5-6 weeks. She is currently being hospitalized for hypoglycemia and hypothermia with a guarded prognosis.

Please share!

It's almost been 1 year since I decided to keep Tinx! (just a few weeks shy) In honor of that, here's a then and now comparison! Isn't he HANDSOME?! Tinx came to me with uncontrolled GI disease. Although this is a lifelong condition, I've been able to manage it with the help of his awesome Veterinarian at Whittaker Road Animal Clinic πŸ™πŸΌ Tinx still tends to defecate outside the box, but it's formed and easy to clean up. πŸ˜… He doesn't get along with other cats, but loves the privacy of his own bedroom. Here he doesn't have to share toys, beds, food, or my attention πŸ€£πŸ’– I'm happy with how far he's come 😊
