The need is as big as ever this year! Our current fosters are full with bundles of cuteness as we receive so many requests every day to help that we can't meet.

The math is simple, more foster rooms = more kitties we can save from danger.

When you become a foster parent with Purr Partners, we set you up for success. We supply all the necessary items—including food, litter, and medical care. You just give them a safe place to land and the socialization they need to thrive.

It's that time of year when there are so many babies/kittens needing rescue to live.
💧 We're finding babies in the shelter where they don't survive long.
💧 Pregnant females.
💧 Moms with newborns.
💧 Litters that have been abandoned

New Look. Same Heart. ❤️

Our website has served us well for many years helping us save countless lives but let's be honest - it was showing its age. Our mission is simple: Save cats. Lately, technical issues and design constraints were limiting our ability to maximize our impact.

By combining the talents of our volunteers with some targeted professional help, we’ve been working on a bit of a "next chapter" for our online home. The goal was simple: make things even easier to find, ensure the site is as reliable as our team, ensure it is mobile friendly and—most importantly—put our cats right where they belong: front and center.

This update isn't about being fancy; it’s about making sure that when someone is ready to adopt, foster, or donate, the process is as smooth and welcoming as possible.

We’re just getting started. You may have already noticed a change in our cat bio layout and we’re launching our new look at purrpartners.org very soon, but we aren't done yet! Our volunteers will be continuing to update pages and add to the site throughout the year

We are excited to improve the experience and we can’t wait to show you around!

Kitten Season is Here!!
We are hosting our Annual Kitten Shower Supply Drive because kitten season is in FULL Swing around here. Right now we have 160 cats in our care - 106 of them kittens!

That means we are going through LOADS of supplies every single week, and we truly need your help to keep up with the demand. Donations of food, litter, toys, cleaning supplies, and kitten care essentials make a huge difference for the cats depending on us.

Purr Partners kitties are back at PetSmart this weekend.
🐾 Visit them Sat and Sun at the Six Forks Station PetSmart from 1-3p.
🐾 Volunteers will be available to assist with meets and adoptions.
🐾 A bio for each kitty is on our web site. Check the photo for the day attending the adoptathon.
We've had several adoptions before the cats and kittens made it to the adoptathon so be sure to submit your application to adopt. Once you are approved you are all set to find that kitty that is a good fit for your home.
There are lots of kitties preparing for adoption and even more waiting in shelters for an opportunity to live and be loved. When a kitty is adopted another can be saved.

🧡 Boots was sitting in a puddle of p*e. Now he’s safe. 🧡

Boots is a 2-year-old big fluffy sweetheart with a love for soft toy balls, snacks, and gently pawing humans to remind them he is clearly “starving” (according to him).

This front-declawed boy was surrendered to the shelter by his family. When we found him, he was sitting alone in the back room in a puddle of urine, not available for adoption. We rushed him to the vet thinking he may have a urinary issue, but further evaluation revealed a spinal cord injury that has left him weak in his back legs and partially incontinent.

The good news? Boots has already shown improvement, and we are giving him the time, care, and love he needs to heal and see what his future holds.

This is part of rescue. The messy, heartbreaking, hopeful part. And no matter what happens next, Boots is safe now.

At 14 years young, this sweet senior lady is searching for the cozy retirement home she deserves. Thelma Lou’s perfect day includes warm laps, chin scratches, tasty treats, and bird watching from a sunny window. She may be small in size, but her heart is overflowing with love.

We are overwhelmed with kittens in foster care right now, and hundreds of calls about cats in need come in every single day. Sadly, very young kittens like the one pictured often do not have positive outcomes if they enter a shelter environment.
