This week, our castaways have been getting to grips with building the raft that will (apparently) take them all home.

After spending most of the week cutting down trees to form the base of the raft, the castaways were then instructed by the tribe dogs how to secure the wood together using just about anything they can find.

Hours passed while they scavenged for reeds and washed-up pieces of fishing nets, and then used what they found to painstakingly tie the chopped wood together until it ended up forming what resembled some kind of Viking warship rather than a life raft.

It’s almost time for the castaways to finally set sail for Barksville….

Some containers have washed ashore that could be crucial to the castaway’s survival, and potential return.

It’s up to the dogs to put their newly re-vamped scent skills to the test as they figure out which containers are worth opening and which are best kept sealed to use as floatation devices.

Those containing food and tools must be identified and opened, those containing a shipment of second-hand underpants… probably best left untouched.

Then there was two more packages a few days later, one that contained reams of papers and some kind of stinky gun… and another that contained a black box of old wires… both of which were put on the floaty pile.
