Spring and summer bring warmer weather, blooming flowers... and lots of kittens! This time of year, shelters, rescues, and veterinary clinics see a significant increase in litters of kittens being born, making it the perfect time to talk about the importance of early veterinary care.

While moments like this can be heartwarming, we'd like to remind everyone of the importance of keeping pets on a secure leash and close to their owner at all times while visiting the clinic.

Even if your pet is friendly and enjoys meeting new friends, not every pet feels the same way. Some pets may be nervous, fearful, recovering from illness or injury, or simply prefer their personal space. Keeping pets safely restrained helps ensure a positive and stress-free experience for everyone—both two-legged and four-legged visitors.

🎨🐾 We are excited to announce the winners of our Austintown Veterinary Clinic Coloring Contest!

🏆 Ages 5–7: Orion
🏆 Ages 8–11: Macie
🏆 Ages 12–15: Kenzie

Kenzie and Macie stopped by Monday to claim their prizes, and we had so much fun celebrating with them! Their artwork was incredibly creative, colorful, and full of personality. We were so impressed with the talent and effort they put into their entries.

We also want to give a special shoutout to Brielle and Ava, who participated alongside their sisters. All four girls did an amazing job, and it was clear that we were looking at a whole family of artists and animal lovers! 💙🐾

We are still waiting to celebrate with Orion and will share his photo once he has a chance to stop by and receive his prize! 🎉

Thank you to everyone who participated in our first coloring contest. We loved seeing all of the creativity from our young artists and are already looking forward to future contests and community events!
