Meet Nova. 🖤

Nova’s story starts the way too many do — someone spotted her being dumped outside a shelter that was closed. A good Samaritan swooped her up and brought her to a nearby vet clinic, which stepped up, took her in, and then reached out to us for help, and we were able to say yes, because a foster and volunteers stepped up for this girl!

Here’s what we know about her so far: she’s a small black pocket pittie who is somehow still sweet, still cuddly, and still wagging her tail — despite everything. She loves people, car rides, and walks well on leash. She has so much love to give.

But she’s also hurting. Her paw pads are raw and painful, and she’s limping. She’s a little bow-legged, likely from spending too long in a small crate. And like any dog who’s been through what she has, she’s a little anxious and needs time to decompress and feel safe. She’s in a loving foster home now, getting exactly that.

Nova is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm/tick negative. She’ll be available for adoption once she’s healed and ready — but right now, she just needs to rest.

Reign’s amazing foster parents are getting married!
While they tie the knot and celebrate their big day, we need help getting our girl Reign to her temp foster home.

P3’s Memorial Day Special: Save a family of four, get one surprise puppy free. 🙃

We pulled Binky (mom), Justice (dad), and newborn puppies Easton & Weston from the shelter this weekend. What we weren’t expecting was 5-month-old deaf puppy Moon.

But when Justice completely pancaked to the floor and refused to leave without his best friend, we knew she was coming too.

Binky gave birth in the shelter on May 6th to Easton, Weston, and Carlton. Sadly, little Carlton didn’t make it. Despite everything she’s been through, Binky remains incredibly sweet. She keeps a Lamb Chop toy in her whelping pool, and we truly think it helps comfort her while she mourns her baby.

Right now, Binky is dangerously underweight and on a careful refeeding protocol while nursing her puppies. She has a vet appointment scheduled for bloodwork and a full exam.

Justice and Moon both left the shelter with undiagnosed URIs. Justice is terrified of the world and hides unless Moon is nearby. He’s a sensitive soul learning that humans can be safe again.

Today at the vet, we also learned Moon is not only deaf, but has vision loss that may eventually lead to blindness. She’s just a puppy trying to navigate a world that already feels confusing and overwhelming. She will need specialty care and training as she grows.

We are desperately in need of donations right now. Vetting, medications, specialty care, food, and supplies for this family are already adding up quickly — and we simply couldn’t leave them behind.

Sometimes the dogs just speak to you, and you figure the rest out later.

Today, we sit a little taller and wag a little softer as we remember the heroes who gave everything for our country. 🐾

From this grateful pack, thank you to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice so families can gather, hearts can be free, and love can thrive. We honor your courage, your service, and your memory.❤️🤍💙

As rescue dogs, many of us know what it means to be given a second chance. At Perfectly Paired Pitties, we are especially proud to be founded by a veteran and committed not only to saving Pitties from overcrowded shelters, but also to supporting those who have served our nation.

We believe in loyalty, healing, and never leaving anyone behind — whether they walk on two legs or four. As we work toward pairing rescued Pitties with veterans in need of comfort and support, we carry that mission in our hearts every day.
