It was our son Luke's 10th birthday today. These are some of his most recent mounts. He shot his first bobcat the winter of 2024. That was his third buck, which he shot last October. He mounted the mole going after the worm by himself and won the Van D***s most original and creative mount at the Nebraska taxidermy competition.

This is a huge aoudad, also called Barbary sheep, we did a few months ago. They are native to the Barbary coast in northern Africa, but they have some you can hunt free range in Texas and New Mexico.

This is Eric's coues deer he shot in Arizona last fall. Coues deer are a small subspecies of the whitetail deer.

We are making good progress on the 2024 whitetails. Over half are finished and the rest will be done in the next few months.

I never took a picture of the mount to post of this buck I shot when Kayla and Eric were little. Eric was with me on the hunt for this great buck.
