Lobster Treats for Salty Dogs

Vacationland Dog Company is happy to announce Laura and I (Andrew) are the new owners of Lobster Treats for Salty Dogs! We are honored to be the bakers of treats that make dogs happy.

Thank you all for your patience over the last few months. It has been a lot of work transitioning the business over (All the legal stuff) but we are gearing up to start fulfilling orders soon. Laura and I have been working hard with baking all the treats that have come to define the business. As we are still transitioning into our new roles as owners, we are very excited to get to learn about all our customers and their businesses.

Thank you all for your continued business and have your dogs enjoy a taste of Maine! Vacationland makes dogs HAPPY!

Yesterday was a goal finally reached for Lobster Treats for Salty Dogs, we sold the business! For the past 10 years we have worked hard, met so many wonderful people, made many dogs happy and really enjoyed what we did. Greg and I are not young and we realized the business needed new (and younger) owners to grow. We also have family that we want to spend time with and this is especially apparent as our oldest grandchild heads off to college this week.
The new owners, Laura & Andrew, are young and hard working and work with dogs at their current business. All our recipes will stay the same and we will be teaching them all the tips and tricks about making the treats your dogs love.
Our Etsy shop will close since we cannot transfer it to them. I will continue with Buster's Homegrown and I am setting up an Etsy page with that name. Our son Jim and his wife Katie will be taking over Downeast Nautical and will update information there. I will let Laura & Andrew update you on their contact and ordering information. Meanwhile I will be spending more time with family and friends and appreciating the last 10 years.

Today has been a beautiful day in Maine and the Catnip is starting to bloom in the garden beside the kitchen door. Buster the cat was too weak and tired to enjoy it and we realized that it was time to say goodbye. Some decisions are very difficult to make but he was at least 15 years old. Greg and I buried him under the spruce trees overlooking the Cove. We miss him already and will for a long time, he was a good kitty.
