We are a private full-care boarding facility in Yamhill OR.

We offer oversized stalls (many with runs), year-round pasture turn out, seasonal private trails and hay fields to ride on, and an 80x168 covered arena with footing by Premier Equestrian.

You’ll follow along as we examine our existing infrastructure, walk forest trails, and explore site-specific solutions, all rooted in our land’s challenges and potential.

• Time in the field and in the classroom
• A catered lunch from a local sandwich shop (1 meal included)
• Access to post-event materials: audio recording, sketch notes, base maps
• Open Q&A session focused on design principles, not personal consults

Duckling season is here: ten new ducklings between two mama Muscovies.

This weekend, and her family came by to meet them. Her kids got to hold a few, feel the tiny grip of webbed feet, and watch them waddle through their second yard adventure. They were curious, careful, and completely absorbed. Honestly, that goes for both the kids and the ducklings.

It’s not a lecture. Not a worksheet. Just a moment of connection you hold in both hands.

We don’t do drop-ins, but if you’ve got a group, kids and/or adults, and want to spend time with the animals or learn more about what we’re building out here, get in touch. We’ll shape the visit around what you want to get out of it.

Before & after blackberry jungle edition.
Took the 6’ mower deck on the excavator for a spin along our back fence line—hadn’t seen that fence since we moved in. Clearing it out not only opens up the view, but gives us a better sense of the terrain. Might even be some solid potential for future water catchment or swale work back there.

In addition to the boarding and clinic facilities, White Horse Farm is an active homestead and developing permaculture site. We are continually expanding and revising the systems to be more efficient, produce less waste, and better serve our needs.

Two years ago, we put in new raised garden beds, after deciding that the old raised bed system we had was located poorly, and we wanted that space for a shop expansion (and classroom!). Our vegetables are grown in our composted horse manure (use the waste), but this means for the first few years, it continues to breakdown and drop, and so requires refilling.

This weekend, we started the process of topping them off with compost. Unfortunately, the time of year we can get the telehandler on the pasture to fill them is the same time of year that we are actively growing vegetables, so, that means filling somewhat by hand. We designed and built a ramp system, that lets us pretty easily fill the beds with wheelbarrows.

We have more beds to finish filling, but this was a start, and will let me get seeds in place.

Anita Adams is back June 18-20 for a full 3 days of classical dressage. We have horses spanning from training level through GP, so should be a very interesting clinic. One ride has come available on Monday afternoon, and auditors are welcome, reach out if you'd like more information!
