Join us, at White Horse Farm (Yamhill, OR) for a community screening of Dirt! – The Movie. It brings to life the environmental, economic, social and political impact that the soil has. It shares the stories of experts from all over the world who study and are able to harness the beauty and power of a respectful and mutually beneficial relationship with soil.

But more than the film and the lessons that it teaches, Dirt! The Movie is a call to action. “When humans arrived 2 million years ago, everything changed for dirt. And from that moment on, the fate of dirt and humans has been intimately linked.”

How can you affect that relationship for the better?

Join us for Polyfaces — the story of a farm that proves working with nature beats fighting it.
Joel Salatin and his family farm the Shenandoah Valley by stacking enterprises, moving animals daily, and selling directly to neighbors. The result: nutrient-dense food for 6,000 families, thriving local economy, and soil that improves year after year.
A warm, hopeful film about what's possible when innovation meets tradition. Come see why this model is being replicated worldwide — then stay and connect with others figuring it out here in Yamhill County.
"If every farmer in the United States would practice this system, in fewer than 10 years we would sequester ALL the CARBON that's been emitted since the beginning of the Industrial Age…"

Sitting’ out with some sheep about 30’ away. They are still fairly agitated around me. They were fine when I was working 100’ away installing a switch to the fencing cart (waterproof cover coming soon). They had all laid down then. But with me inside the fence, even being still and quiet, they are pacing a bunch.

Still, even if they flee from me, they are doing their job, preferentially ripping off the young blackberry shoots and then trimming up the grass in the drainage. With only 4, they get moved once a week and that seems to be about right.

Free Community Movie Night: Back to Eden
March 6, 2026

Join us, at White Horse Farm (Yamhill, OR) for a community screening of Back to Eden. Back to Eden Gardening is a regenerative organic gardening method that practices no-till and organic growing principles. The permaculture technique is simple — cover the soil. Growing food and plants with industrial techniques has devastated our climate and planet. That’s why we’re empowering gardeners to practice regenerative organic gardening principles. These practices reduce greenhouse gas emissions and could help trap more carbon than conventional gardening and agriculture.
