Hey everyone 😁 I just wanted to update you all on everything going on over here. The puppies are 4 weeks old already! We’ve had a couple minor set backs, but momma and babies are doing really well.

My schedule with puppies is very tight and time consuming. We have temperament evaluations, structural evaluations, microchip/shot appointments, puppy parties, and puppy deliveries. Because of all this, my grooming schedule is booked out quite a ways. We are looking at mid July right now for openings.

I’ve been referring people over to the Terrace Heights Pet Pantry and Earthwise here in west valley for grooming services. The Summitview Pet Pantry also has a lovely self serve bathing station for in between grooms.

Okay friends I thought I would update you all on what’s been going on over here. Misty is doing very well, and so are her 8 beautiful babies. We had 5 girls and 3 boys. Little Si was born very tiny, less than half the size of her siblings. She is trying very hard and so am I. I have to be with her 24/7, make sure she’s able to potty, keep extra warm, and do rotated feedings every 90 mins. It’s going to be a lot of work, but I’m hopeful she will make it.

Because of this I might have to make some drastic scheduling changes that include moving some appointments, or simply referring out at this time. If you have a pup scheduled or waiting to be rescheduled who can hold off for a while or that you’re okay with having someone else do this time, it would be a huge help. I’m doing everything I can for my Little Si, and I just couldn’t forgive myself if I left them alone and something happened.

Hello friends! On the 9th, Misty was confirmed carrying a litter of beautiful standard poodles 🥰 I am so very exciting, and that means I will be taking off the 10th-19th of April and I am completely full for appointments until the first week of May. If you need recommendations for local groomers with openings sooner, I am happy to refer out during this time. I’m so excited for the big things that are happening in our lives, thank you all for the continued support 💜

Using this as a friendly reminder that I do not take dogs who have been sprayed by a skunk within 8 weeks. Even if they smell fine dry, the second they get wet the stench can stink up the whole building for days. The stench even latches onto my hair lol. If your pup has been sprayed please follow this recommendation! And notify me ASAP if your dog has an upcoming appointment 😁

Change is scary. Change is hard. Change is exciting.

I have a couple big announcements I would like to share with you all. As of April 1st I will be moving locations for my business. My husband and I have been working tirelessly renovating an old wood working shop into a beautiful new grooming salon for me. But don’t worry, I will still be in west valley, just a mere 8 minutes south from my current location 💜

Also, we are hopefully going to be welcoming little poodle bundles of joy April 11th 🐩🍼 We will know for sure in a couple weeks. I am going to be taking some time off between April 10th-April 19th and will be scheduling light the rest of April. Starting in May I will hopefully be back to full time ☺️

I would like to take a second to thank Marlin and Shelly at Cottonwood Kennels for allowing me to start and grow my business there for the last 6 years. They’ve done so much for me and my family, and I could never repay them for their generosity and accommodations. I am going to miss running my business at Cottonwood Kennels, but I am very excited for this new chapter in my family’s life.

We are still working on the salon, but we are getting very close and I am confident we will be completely operational by our goal date of April 1st. Thank you all for supporting me the last 6 years, and I am excited to continue grooming your beloved pets in my beautiful new location 💙

Hello friends. I was hoping to not have to make this announcement this year, but due to the cost of living skyrocketing, along with all my shop expenses raising, I do have to raise my prices starting in March.

I have tried very hard to keep prices low for a long time, but it’s just not feasible for me anymore to continue with current pricing. Starting in March, nail trims will raise to $7 and nail dremeling will now be $10. Please expect a $5-$10 raise in pricing on all other services.

I am still accepting cash, Venmo and PayPal for payment. I would prefer to not do card transactions due to card fees. In 2020 even with being closed for a few months, I ended up paying $400 in card fees 😬 normal years have been closer to $650 in fees.

Hello my friends 💜 Sadly I am still closed. I’m hoping things will be lifted May 4th and I can get back to doing what I love the most, grooming all your fur babies. If you have an appointment scheduled before then, I will be reaching out to clients on Mondays to cancel. As soon as I’m allowed i will be reaching out to reschedule all canceled appointments. Hello friends 💜 this is a very trying time for our country and the rest of the world. I just wanted to make a PSA that I am planning to remain open unless our government says otherwise. Being self employed has it’s pros and cons and unfortunately one of the cons is I do not receive any sick or vacation pay. In order to keep paying my bills (including shop rent) I need to keep working. I’d like to remind everyone of my appointment policy and that I do require a 24 hour in advance notice to prevent any added cancellation or no show fees. If anyone would like to cancel or reschedule, I totally understand but continue to require a 24 hour notice. For those of you that would like to keep your appointments, but would like to remain cautious, please message me as we can discuss options for limited contact. Everything else is business as usual and I hope you all remain safe and healthy, and that you have plenty of toilet paper to last 😉

Hello friends! Just a reminder that i am not accepting new Saturday clients. I am super busy with horse and dog shows this year and will be gone 1-3 Saturdays a month. If you’re currently a Saturday client, please keep this in mind and that we might have to push appointments back a week or two than normal. If you’re somehow able to make a weekday appointment, it would be super helpful! I will be trying to get a bather for the Saturdays i do work, which means appointments will be stacked a little bit so they might take longer than normal. This is a great visual on why nail care for our pooches is so important! Chronic overgrown nails can cause deformities resulting in extreme discomfort and lifelong problems. Nails should be done every 2-8 weeks depending on the dog’s level of activity and how quickly their nails grow. I offer nail clipping at $6 per dog and nail grinding at $9 per dog. No appointment needed, just call Tuesday-Saturday and I’ll let you know the hours I’ll be in the shop 😁
