It is the end of Little Lion Dog Grooming Spaw, after so many years. Im excited for my new ventures... But cant help but be a little sad at the same time. This business was a lot of blood, sweat, and tears (literally. Working with animals is hard and dangerous work sometimes lol). But very rewarding. I remember leaving Petsmart, and feeling so much fear at going out on my own so shortly after learning how to groom. I remember the excitement of picking my business name and how I wanted it to represent me, as well as be a manifestation for my future. I remember sketching out designs for my logo and poring over reference after reference , before finding a random internet artist who did World of Warcraft art commissions, with the exact style I was looking for. She had never designed for a business before but when she sent me my logo I could've cried, it was perfect. I was given my start renting in Pet Pantry, and I will forever appreciate Shelly for giving me that chance. Years later I even opened my own shop for a while, before wanting to slow down, desiring some sort of change , and returning to Pet Pantry. Some of my clients from the start followed me from my Petsmart days and supported me to the end, and I had also gained so many amazing clients, in which i built an amazing relationship with over the years. Ive built friendships with them, laughed, cried, mourned with them. Ive lost some clients too due to health or age, and it hit me hard emotionally. They weren't my pets, and you all may not have been family, but my heart hurt with yours as I felt like I had also lost a part of me too. Working with animals should be a labor of love. And I will always stand by that. Love, empathy, its what has driven me in my time grooming and even my days in veterinary. I also groomed for our local Yakima Valley Pet Rescue, who i will forever appreciate for all they do for our community. My business has been a sponsor for fundraisers as well, and have raised donations in the past. Its amazing thinking of what this little dog grooming business has achieved. This isnt the end of my grooming journey, I will now be grooming in Las Vegas, Nevada as I was offered an amazing opportunity. Many of you know how much I had frequented visiting there over all the years, and my move has been a long time coming after 13 years in the Valley. I want to thank everyone for all the support over the years. Much love and best wishes to all of you. I also want to thank all the girls at Pet Pantry who became like my own little family over the years. I will miss you all and all the laughs.
Take care everyone!
