Hello and Happy Monday to my loyal customers! I have made some revisions to my pricing.  For some of you, your pricing category will not change, but for some others, it will. I thank you for your understanding...Anyone who has seen my work knows that I go above and beyond what most nail care providers do, shortening nails properly with a grinder to a smooth and professional finish. The service I provide is far more labor intensive than the quick-clip places--they leave nails longer, and do not do the extensive grinding work that I provide to each customer. My goal is always to keep my prices affordable where people can maintain consistent, healthy nail care for their dogs, but I have needed to make these adjustments for a while now. Thank you everyone for your understanding and attention to this policy update!

Understanding canine-psychology is the key to good training. The main reason dogs resist nail care is a problem with leadership. Canines are pack animals. I hear over and over from new customers that, "my dog only lets me trim one nail and then runs off." Yet people are not understanding what the problem is....What they are describing is that their dog is the one in control of the situation. The human is not acting as the pack leader. As a pack animal, dogs brains are hardwired to have one pack leader, and if the human is not acting as the leader, the dog will step up into the alpha role. If you are letting your dog dictate and control whether or not they allow their paws to be handled and their nails to be trimmed, then you are training them that they are the one in control, and that they can choose to participate or stop the session. That is a very destructive thing to teach your dog! The human should always be in the leadership role. Good training is the fix. Not peanut butter, not bribery, not clipping one nail here and there, or trying to sneak one nail clip in while the dog is asleep. Good training teaches the dog that there is nothing painful and no harm being caused...and also that the handler is in the leadership role. This is vital to success and eliminates stress.
