Happy 4th of July NKT crew. As well roll into the night celebrating, remember to turn up those tvs, put the collars with ID tags on the pups, go outside for potty breaks with leashes and kennels are your pups best friend.

Basic Handler Class Announcement

I had not planned a school until later in fall. However, a recent dog placement has opened up a summer ASCTI/Nine Realms Basic Handler School.

When: July 21-August 28, 2025, Monday-Thursday, 9am-5pm
Where: Spokane, Wa
Who: Law Enforcement, Private Sector, Civilian, Dog Enthusiasts

Options for folks to attend all six weeks, three weeks, or a week at a time. Folks may attend with or without a dog. Nine Realms has dogs for students to handle if they do not have a dog.

The class will teach: Basic K9 Management and Care, Basic Obedience, Trained Final Response For All Detection, Narcotic Searches Building/Vehicle Fundamentals, Explosives Detection Searches Fundamentals, Tracking Fundamentals, Apprehension and Protection Fundamentals, Article Searches, Building Searches for Suspects, Olfaction Biology, Neurotransmitter affect on Behavior, Starting Dogs for Tracking, Detection, Protection, Basic Decoy Skills, Problem Solving and More.
