Lost Fantasy Rescue is based out of foster homes throughout SW Virginia. We have do not have a physical shelter/facility, so all meet & greets must be scheduled in advance. We pull from local open intake shelters as well as accepting owner surrendered animals. We work with the community to offer help with spay/neuter assistance as well as food & vetting to keep pets in their home thus preventing t

hem from entering the shelter system. We work with out of state shelters to send dogs/cats from this area to other areas with a higher adoption rate. All puppies & kittens are held by us for a minimum for 3 weeks to be brought UTD on shots & spayed/neutered PRIOR to adoption to the public. PLEASE NOTE: In order to be considered in the as a potential adopter for a animal, we ask that you visit our website (www.lostfantasystables.org), click on the FORMS/APPLICATIONS tab in the menu on the left-hand side of the page, and fill out an adoption application. Our adoption process includes said application, reference checks, vet checks, an informal home visit, a meet and greet, as well as an adoption contract and fee/donation. Hi All! Oliver here. I'm a younger terrier who unfortunately got the short end of the genetic stick. I came from a community volunteer who rescued me from a backyard breeder. I'm missing part of my sacrum and I can't control my bowels. The vets say that there isn't any way to fix this...its all because that part of me didn't form while I was a fetus. The vets have me on a regimen of laxatives to make sure I don't get constipated. I also have to wear a diaper. As a terrier, I make it my mission to try and find ways to create chaos by removing my diaper. But foster mom knows that's my mission and she's found a way to keep the diaper on. I'm a really sweet boy who runs and plays with my foster siblings. At this point, my foster isn't sure that I can be neutered because of my undescended testicles. So I'll be staying with her at this point. Which I think is pretty amazing! Bunny had her surgery. She also had an examination under anesthesia. She has chronic ear infections that we'll have to stay on top of. Her right eye was removed as she had lost vision in the eye and the pressure was so high it was uncomfortable. She is resting at her fosters home. We appreciate everyone who donated to our fundraiser yesterday. Bunny's bill was $881 for all the care she had yesterday. if you can help us by sharing our posts, donating, volunteering or fostering we would greatly appreciate the help!

At Lost Fantasy Rescue, no pet is ever a throwaway. From tiny neonates just beginning their journey to seniors deserving comfort in their golden years, we are committed to caring for every animal—no matter what it takes.

We believe every soul deserves:

*Complete vetting before adoption to ensure a healthy, happy future. Even if that means a $3000 dental with the same $225 adoption fee.
*Compassionate end-of-life care when it’s needed most
*A loving second chance, even for those that other rescues turn away. The medical needs, the behavioral challenges...we take them.

But caring so deeply comes with challenges. Right now, we urgently need your support to:

🚐 Pay off costly van repairs that keep our rescue operations moving as we had to replace the motor that was blown while driving puppies to another rescue group.The total bill was $3162.30. We have managed to raise $2000 of it.
💉 Cover several upcoming surgeries for pets who can’t wait
💖 Continue our mission to save the most vulnerable — from newborns to seniors.
Plus we have our normal everyday expenses like pet food as well as our upcoming need for hay for the sanctuary horses & other livestock.

Our foster Bunny who came to us from a local shelter is undergoing surgery today for an eye issue. We are hoping that this will help Bunny's pain. Doing the right thing for our fosters is something we take seriously. Every animal in our care deserves a healthy happy life. Happy Birthday to Chuy!

Chuy came to us with his friend Meghan. Chuy lost his home when his owner was arrested. Meghan and Chuy were fostered and their foster fell in love with him and Meghan. His owners decided that May 5th was the perfect day to celebrate Chuy!

Precious is stopping by to say "hello!" to all the Lost Fantasy supporters! This little girl came to us from a local shelter when her family couldn't care for her. She had bladder stones that were quickly treated with a special diet. She was adopted and has been doing fabulously in her forever home!
