I started JK Cattle in 2010 at just 19 years old and still in college working on my biology degree. It all began when my dad brought a Maine cross cow home with a big yellow tag that read Charolette. I was in love! She was a pet and better yet she was bred. I purchased Charolette from my father and on I went. I purchased each of my cows one at a time as I could afford them and waited patiently to see what kind of calves they would have. Little did I know that Charolette would start a tradition where each of my cows got their own names! In my second year I finally purchased my first bull. What excitement to raise my own calves! I have slowly progressed from these humble beginnings and hope to continue to expand. I now have 30 head of Charolais/Angus cross cows (with a few longhorns mixed in for the view) and 2 Charolais bulls!
I started this page in order to give more people the opportunity to see what cattle I have available and share the adventures of progressing my ranch! Thank you for your likes and shares!
