🚨🐾 WE NEED WEEKEND VOLUNTEERS! 🐾🚨

If you have 2 or 3 hours to spare on a Saturday or Sunday, our dogs could REALLY use you. ❤️🐶

Weekend volunteers work directly with the dogs — walking, exercising, cleaning kennels, preparing meals, training, enrichment, and of course handing out plenty of love.

Our weekend shifts are:

• 8 AM–10 AM
• 11 AM–1 PM
• 2 PM–5 PM
• 7 PM–10 PM

These shifts are available Saturday AND Sunday, and we need dependable people to help keep our dogs happy, healthy, exercised, fed, and cared for.

You must be 18 or older and willing to get a little dirty, get covered in dog hair, and very possibly leave with a new best friend. 😂🐾

You don’t have to give up your whole weekend. Just a couple of hours can make a huge difference.

Update photos were sent on a regular kept us in the loop with everything that was going on just made our Vacation that more relaxing, knowing our dogs were in good hands. Hello I am the owner of Pet Services from the Hart
If you are a Wyandotte, Southgate, Riverview, or Allen Park resident I urge you to reach out to your City Council and or Mayor about the drastic increase in loose dogs in those cities. Downriver Central Animal Control covers all four cities.

If you have a story about how the non emergency police line told you to release a dog into the street, animal control is full, or you have been bitten, attacked, or even approached by a loose dog. I urge you to attend Wyandotte’s City council meeting today at 7pm. DCAC is overseen by the Wyandotte Chief of Police.

I recently met with Southgate’s City admin, and spoke in front of the council. I brought up multiple instances and gave solutions to these issues.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease. This is a public safety issue.

Questions:
What happens when they say "release the dog into the street” and the dog becomes aggressive and bites or mauls a child?
Why do we have no ACO after 3:30 pm most days, none on the weekend? We have three fulltime and one part-time.
I will continue to fight for my dog walker's safety, the residents, and most of all our children and elderly. See you at 7 pm!
