Astrid and her sister Alela were so scared the first week at the shelter. But their fear quickly turned to snuggling and purring.

She and her sister Alela were taken in out of the cold a few months ago and need a responsible home to keep them safe now. They are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together.

AND a big thank you to Pound Pals Downriver for making sure Astrid's sister Alela got the treatment she needed for an awful laceration on her neck!

Their are so many kittens like these girls, their mothers "disposable" to whomever once owned them. Astrid and Alela are some of the lucky ones... they were found.

They are spayed, FIV/FeLV tested and vaccinated.

Poet was found with a group of cats, left behind in a hotel room when the person living there vacated. They had food, water and litter but wouldn't have lasted long once that ran out. They've made it to safety now and will have a better life.

Poet would be best suited in a home familiar with cats. He is a bit of a solitary guy and still a bit nervous around humans. From what we've learned, Poet lived outside before he was let inside the motel room by the resident.

We're still working on figuring him out.

Poet is neutered, vaccinated and FIV/Felv tested.

If love were a superpower, Ozzy would be unstoppable. His joy and love are absolutely contagious. He loves everyone he meets and greets them with enthusiasm.

He’s about 1 or 2 years old and weighs about 40 pounds. He is treat motivated and eager to please. He does well with other dogs.

Hermione is a sweet, playful and outgoing kitten estimated to be about 10 months old. She and her siblings were found on their own and obviously in need of intervention. Her siblings have since been adopted.

Hermione’s foster family describes her as a hoot! They say she is sweet, social, and just enough goofball to keep it entertaining.

She is spayed, Feline Leukemia and FIV tested and vaccinated.

Sweet Marjorie was adopted in January and recently returned to us very unexpectedly through no fault of her own. We’re hoping her second stay with us is a short one.

Marjorie was originally found with a group of cats, left behind in a hotel room when the person living there vacated. They had food, water and litter but wouldn’t have lasted long once that ran out.
