One of my BIGGEST ISSUES!!! Take the time it takes to EDUCATE your horse correctly on the ground... MOST of it will carry over under saddle!! Do NOT be surprised when I spend almost 30 days JUST on ground work, before I start riding/working/training under saddle. You farrier shouldn't have to deal with bad behavior either.

Tiffany & Squatchy riding a little after I worked Squatch over the trot & canter ground poles in the outdoor arena.
*Squatch is still recovering/ fighting EPM, both Tiff & Squatch are working to regain confidence & muscle memory.

Tobias has his 1st actual round penning experience!! Tobias did pretty well round penning (he learned to lunge 1st as I did not have access to a round pen....he was confused a little on why he could not "feel" me). He is being respectful about "checking in".... he was concerned that his buddies were not out with him (they usually graze outside the pen, if were out working).

Tobias' 1st time with a sircingle (used for ground driving & my method of introducing a saddle). He has worn an english saddle a few times previous, but not consistently. So, we are working on being consistent & paying attention to work.

Tiffany & HollySquatch (ok, fine... his name is Hollywood). Squatch is still fighting EPM & working on regaining muscle he has lost in the last 3 months, while his mom was recovering from her own injuries.
*Squatch is in a bosal & custom built/fitted Saddle from Dave Golian Saddles & Tack
