Welcome to Big Joel's Safari Petting Zoo & Educational Park page. Our family owned and operated zoo is home to well over 500 animals covering over 70 species of domestic and exotic animals. Our facility operates from spring and through the holiday season. You can pet and feed some of our animal residents while many are just for viewing! irthday parties, educational field trips, Rent the Zoo, and more during most of our regular season. Did you know YOU can now feed the guinea pigs? Purchase a token in the gift shop, redeem it at the guinea pig house for two pieces of romaine lettuce. You can also feed it to the bunnies, cavy, and when the weather warms up-some tortoises too! Lettuce only for these cuties please.

This time of year when we are trying to get ready to open we often focus on how far behind we feel instead of looking at how far we have come. This is a throw back photo from May 2017 when we had just opened the playground area. A lot has changed since then. (Including our two nieces. lol. We know the weather is beautiful. However we are CLOSED UNTIL APRIL 11th. Below is a photo of the current state of the Safari. Lots of work is happening which unfortunately means we are not able to accommodate visitors.
ps-We have been made aware that Apple Maps has us as open. We are currently trying to rectify that with apple. Sorry for any confusion.
