Update: Matilda has been located! We are incredibly saddened that she was abandoned in the cold in front of our clinic, but relieved that we are able to give her a warm place to sleep tonight.

If you left a kitten named Matilda, per your note, in a cardboard carrier in front of our clinic please know that this box was not secured and Matilda was not in the box when we discovered it. We finally spotted (whom we assume is) her but she was so startled she took off running. Matilda is now lost right along the incredibly busy North High Street.

To the rest of our community, please keep an eye out for a small dilute tortoiseshell cat, likely around 8-12 months based on the quick glance we got of her. She has likely found something to hide in or under, and she seemed very skittish.

As a reminder dumping animals is not only morally horrendous, it is also illegal and you can be prosecuted for this.
