👀 Yikes is right. We are almost OUT of pate cat food! 😿

We have had a whole bunch of 🐶 🐱 little mouths to feed lately, and our supply of pate cat food, Purina Puppy Chow, and Purina Kitten Chow is getting very low. Our kittens and pups would be so grateful for a refill.

December is Cat Lover’s Month—and here’s an important cat-care tip to keep in mind: Cats need daily pet-sitting visits also!

Even if you plan to “leave extra food and water,” your cat still needs to be checked on at least once per day.

At Fast Friends Pet Care Services, we follow PSI's Global Standards for Professional Pet-Sitting & Dog-Walking Businesses and require a minimum of one visit per day for all pet types.

Anything can happen when cats are left alone—from a potentially lethal urethral blockage to home damages from your cat accidentally loosening a water hose behind a washing machine. Not having someone visit your cat daily while you're away can have costly—or tragic—consequences for you and your cat!

Developed from PSI’s Recommended Quality Standards for Excellence originally established for PSI members by PSI Founder and CEO Patti J. Moran and her team, the updated framework establishes baseline best practices for pet-care businesses worldwide. Moran and her team have more than 120 years of combined industry experience.

PSI’s Global Standards were reviewed by leaders in the pet care, insurance, and pet health and safety fields, along with a pet owner panel, ensuring they reflect both professional expertise and consumer expectations.

“Since its inception PSI has asked member businesses to commit to standards for excellence in pet sitting and provided them with the resources to meet those standards,” explained PSI President Beth Stultz-Hairston. “Because the pet-sitting industry is rapidly growing but still largely unregulated, we knew it was more important than ever to share our association’s professional industry standards framework with pet-care professionals and pet owners.”

Physical and mental exercise is critically important for senior dogs and cats. Senior cats can benefit from interactive toys and food puzzles to keep them entertained and to burn excess calories. While senior dogs may not be able to go on long, strenuous runs or hikes, shorter walks can help keep your dog lean and in good health.
