Since I couldn't grow a lot this year due to time and space constraints, I focused my energy on some new veggies: purple sugar peas and crookneck squash. I love how they look and taste!

Do your kids hate your garden? 3/5 of mine do!

I founds this book at a library and just ordered a copy for myself. It has great ideas that go beyond having the kids choose what to grow or starting seedlings. The authors completely flip the concept of "get your kids to like the garden" into "change the garden into a place that kids like."

My initial takeaways: I'm adding a slide to the garden, as well as a digging area, a HOBBIT DOOR and putting in place a new watering system that will be more fun and less stressful. And all this will be accomplished with materials I already have.
