High Heat Warnings have been issued in our area today throughout Tuesday.
Although we seek as much water and shade as possible, Hikes provided during high heat advisories will be cut short for both our safety and your pups 🐾
We do encourage kiddy pool splash parties in yards to help cool off 💦 ⛱️
We do encourage potty breaks should your pup have a difficult time with heat exposure/limited access to shade/prolonged pavement exposure 🐕‍🦺

Spring has officially sprung Spring🌿🌸🌼
A few of Marshall’s Squad are LOVING this weather!
This crew really loves their water. They’ve are ALLLL about s swimming ! They’ve already begun and are enjoying the cool temperatures of the fresh rivers and streams. Nothings better than aquatic exercise for bigger breeds to really stretch out without putting pressure on joints.

Can you tell?

Can you tell what one is the poodle and what one is the doodle? Why doodle when a well bred poodle can have the same look, with a more stable temperament.
(I did prep one’s coat better than the other, because one doesn’t like being dryed) answer in the comments

Nancy is walking on sunshine with her dog, Bodie!! 🐾☀️
Nancy’s breeder promised her new puppy would be on the smaller side. They also told her he walked nicely on leash.
Unfortunately neither were true.
Bodie arrived as a huge puppy physically difficult to manage (especially on walks) and is continuing to grow.

Additionally, Bodie comes from a breeder that kept him surrounded by peers, creating a strong codependent relationship with dogs. When an environment was new to him, without peers to guide him, he would crumble. This caused him to lack the ability to truly engage in play, bond and show affection to humans, including his family.

During Bodie’s three week Board and Train with us, we worked on building trust and confidence through peer work as well as independent learning.
Bodie is now able to engage in affection and play with his family!
He walks wonderfully on leash, has a beautiful recall, enjoys a good game of tug, car rides, tackles stairs like a dream, notifies when needing to go potty, crate trained, and is a just a happy confident boy 🐾

Bodie’s family is committed to continuing to provide the lifestyle that Bodie thrives in best. Together we will continue to foster Bodie’s learning and socialization through participating in our daily hikes as well as private in-home training.
It’s not uncommon that we see this in puppies from breeders/foster homes. Autonomy is absolutely essential for a healthy state of mind.
