Let’s take a look at this illustration and see how it can translate to proper rider position in the saddle.
Quite often when I meet a rider for the first time, I am evaluating their position before they even swing a leg over the horses back. Depending on the riders time commitments , they are probably spending 45 minutes to 1 hour in the saddle 4-5 times a week. However, they are spending 16 plus hours a day in bad posture and poor muscle memory. Just like we want to train our horses to be their best , we must expect , if not more, from ourselves.
I absolutely love this illustration along with the explanation of good vs bad posture. The correlation to how this would translate to riding is quite astounding.
