BREAKING: Incredible shot inside the eye of Category 5 Humberto from the International Space Station. This monster is packing sustained winds of 165+ mph. Its massive eye currently is located about 950 miles southeast of Delco. That is extremely close.
But here’s where it gets even wilder: Humberto isn’t alone. It’s now tugging Tropical Storm Imelda out into the Atlantic, setting the stage for a rare Fujiwhara Effect, when the two cyclones begin to dance around each other. Experts say the two systems could square off in the coming days, and if the clash plays out just right, the weaker storm could actually get slingshot back toward the East Coast. Get a pen and a piece of paper because that trajectory would put Delco, Philly, and the Jersey Shore right back in the danger zone. This is the kind of setup that meteorologists warn can change fast, so buckle up, this storm story is far from over. Stay tuned, no one can predict what will happen next once the Fujiwhara Effect begins later this week.
