The Labrador Connection
(TLC) is an all volunteer, foster based network dedicated to the re-homing of unwanted and abandoned Labrador Retrievers into loving, forever permanent homes. We are also committed to educating the public about responsible pet ownership including but not limited to spaying and neutering your pets, training, and proper veterinary care. TLC is committed to helping all friendly labradors, especially seniors & special needs. Everyone else gave up on them but we will not.

Classy may be blind but she tries to channel X-ray vision when she's at the vet's office, her tail wagging the whole time. This wagging was harmless but hitting her tail against hard surfaces has caused her to develop an open sore and lessening of blood flow to the end of the tail; she will need surgery on Wednesday. Foster dog Classy has had a lot of health challenges. She is blind from blastomycosis, has endured and ear infection that has been difficult to control, and now she has "happy tail" -- her tail has wagged so vigorously against hard objects that she's created a wound that is infected and now part of her tail need to be amputed. Ready for adoption…Cocoa 🤎

Meet Cocoa, a sweet, soulful boy who desperately needs a second chance. Cocoa is about 5 to 6 years old, weighs approximately 50 lbs, and is completely vetted. He is great with other dogs, absolutely loves people, and would thrive in a home where he can be someone’s loyal companion. No cats, please.

Cocoa was adopted by an older gentleman who loved him dearly, but sadly his owner has gone into long term care. Through no fault of his own, Cocoa found himself back at AC, where he is now at risk of euthanasia simply because he has nowhere to go.

This boy has already lost his person. He should not lose his life too. Cocoa is calm, affectionate, and ready to settle into a loving home again.

Dog friendly
He may look a little rough but nothing a little care and love can’t heal. He came from a very unlivable home (trust us, we have seen pics) so it’s no fault of his own that he ended up in the shelter. He’s such a great dog that deserves a wonderful home. When you foster, TLC covers all vetting expenses. All you need to provide is a safe, warm home while we get him ready for adoption. Who can help this guy out? He would come up from the south 1/10.

Happy Tails for Macy 💛

Owner surrender due to new baby being allergic (no rude comments please)
Have struggled trying to rehome so now trying rescue
More of an active lab than lazy
Has mild seizures a few times a year. Vet doesn't recommend meds due to being so minimal. When he does go into one he has a blank stare. Found the best way to deal with it is to sit with him and pet him until he’s done within a min or two.
Up to date on vaccines
Friendly. Good with dogs and kids.
Owner willing to cover adoption fee
