Meet out Trainer/Instructor:

Jordanna Schatz has been riding horses since she was a little girl. Ever since her first time on a horse there was no stopping her. She successfully showed western all around horses as a youth and continued through college. College years were spent at the University of Findlay graduating with majors in Equine Studies - Western and Equine Business Management as well as minors in Finance and Business Management. Though out college Jordanna worked for top level quarter horse trainers as well as squeezed every bit of knowledge she could out of her instructors including expanding her experiences to include reining and cutting horses. Post college she spent time in multiple different areas of the horse world. Focusing mostly on western all around horses (quarter horses and paints) she also enjoyed working with different breeds and different disciplines. In the last few years Jordanna has dipped her foot into the hunter/jumper world. First being introduced to these horses while working as a vet tech for a local equine clinic, she continued to learn through the connections she made there and especially her boyfriend, Arturo Novoa. Arturo, who is also our farrier, provides a wealth of knowledge and support as a hunter/jumper rider himself who has spent a lifetime in the horse industry. Jordanna now enjoys sharing her love and knowledge of horses with others. She still specializes in western all around horses but also teaches beginner level english riding and jumping. Ground work is just as important as work under saddle. Desensitizing horses and teaching them how to quietly handle scary new things is some of the most worth while training you can do! It's good for your horse and something different and fun to switch up the regular routine. Today... tarps!

"Horse showing is such a microcosm of life, because we certainly don't win a trophy every time we achieve something in real life. I think we should measure a child's improvement in a certain class by being positive about what he or she did better than the last time."
