Flying Duck Farm Horse Sanctuary

Flying Duck Farm Horse Sanctuary "A forever home for those in need." Each and every day I am looking for ways to expand to help more animals and people.

It started out with a few ducks (hence the farm name) and now we have chickens, goats and horses along with cats, dogs and bunnies. I am fortunate enough to have a number of our horses sponsored by some of our great supporters. This helps me continue to do what I do for animals. I don't like labels, but if necessary I'd say this is a sanctuary. There are too many animals and people out there that

need help and I want to do what I can. This is a safe place that is what matters. I've always loved helping animals and people and am slowly incorporating the two. About half of the animals we currently have are rescued animals that have come here to get/be healthy, loved and safe. My thoughts are NEVER give up until you've tried everything possible. Everyone and everything deserves a shot at a GREAT life! Life isn't a contest of who can have the most money or items, its about what you do with your time.

Apparently our boarder Arina was cooling off in front of a fan while “soaking” her feet. She seemed bothered that I interrupted her spa time to clean up for their dinner.
(The bowl is empty but it sure looks like she’s enjoying a soak.)

Both of these boys came to us at less than a year old. Not at the same time, several years apart.
But they grew up to be the best of friends. Both have faced challenges as they have grown up.
Snickers had leg surgery so he could walk, then colic surgery. Both saved his life for different reasons.
Buddy had his eye removed because it was dead when we took him in. Removal prevented any chance of infection in his other eye and possibly brain.
Both of these boys enjoy life to the fullest. They are now teenagers.

This is what we do. We save lives. And we provide them with a safe home here with us for the rest of their lives.

Lost dog in the Randallstown/Granite/Woodstock, Md area.

It showed up at our farm yesterday morning and was returned to the owners.

It ran off again last night and has not been found. Still has leash and collar attached with info tag. Owners had just gotten the dog the day before.

(NOT OUR DOG JUST PASSING THE INFO ALONG.)

This crew has a routine they go through every meal. No fail.

When Stewy finishes his grain the others are let back out of their meal spots. Roo always heads to Stewy’s bowl to check for crumbs. Chloe and Sunny wait patiently to triple check Stewy’s bowl after Roo is done checking.

And Stewy….he stands by watching and then heads back out to graze.

Knowing every horse, every behavior and every routine is important to me. That means it’s easier to notice when something is wrong.

I guess that’s one way to cool off…..🤣.

Love this action shot of Precious running around the pasture. She may be a tiny dwarf mini but she sure can run.
