Words can not explain how much these 2 wonderful women mean to me and everyone in our practice!! This may be Veterinary Technician week…….but honestly it should be every day!!!! Shelley has been with us for over 9 years and Elana is working toward 7!! These 2 are what keeps this practice going in the forefront and behind the scenes!! From their on point horse handling skills, compassion for our patients and clients, organizational skills (we all know it takes a village to keep Dr Nicky on task) to our non-stop fun with all that we do ❤️❤️

We have to announce that Leslie will no longer be answering our phones. We are all very sad and will miss her dearly but wish her the best in her semi-retirement. So please bear with us while we work on finding someone to fill her position. They are some very big shoes to fill for sure.

Hopefully this excessive heat streak is about over!!! That being said need to watch all your horses for water intake and over heating!! Especially the older horses or the ones with Cushings that may not be sweating well!! Lots of cold showers and fans are needed.

With Spring shots now around the corner!!! And it finally feeling like Spring (Even if just for awhile 😄)………we are suggesting Potomac Horse Fever vaccines for all. As it is not a disease spread by show horses or due to travel. Can be found in water puddles or even the water bugs on wet grasses! This vaccine is given twice a year to be best protected.
So when scheduling shots this year think about adding this to our regimen and let us know in the office if you want it to help protect your loved horse!
