Malcom’s new name is Pepper. Pepper acclimated quickly to his new home and family. He loves his big human sister and they spend a lot of time together. Pepper is potty trained and he is working on learning to use a bell to tell mom and dad when he needs to go outside. Pepper loves to play fetch and tug-of-war and go on walks.

Panting 4 Paws is back, and this year marks our 20th anniversary!


This event is more than just a race. It’s a celebration of the thousands of animals who’ve been given a second chance over the years, and a chance to make an impact for those still waiting for their forever homes.

We’re hosting a pre-registration event on June 13 from 1-4. Get $5.00 off registration and a free beverage for registering early. The event is sponsored by Crystal Lake Brewing, Joe Taylor State Farm and Smash'D. It’s a great opportunity to sign up early and be part of the excitement. We’d love to see you there!

Adoption Update

Caramel’s new name is Snowball. Snowball is doing good! Snowball loves to play chase with his doggie brother, Bingo. Potty training is going really well at night. We are still learning his daytime potty queues, but overall doing well. His first trip out to our local dog park with his older brother Bingo (our maltipoo). The two of them had an absolute blast chasing each other around and sniffing everything in sight. You can see the excitement of exploring the large space plastered on his cute face! We are so blessed to have Snowball as the newest addition to our family, and we hope others can be just as blessed by continuing to support Helping Paws!
