Buff boys are some of the sweetest kittens we've ever met and their new family will be so fortunate to have these guys in their lives.

Meet our newest "singing/meowing" duo ready for adoption-- Hall & Oates!

These brothers are going on 5 months old and make a great pair. One is more outgoing and brave, the other a little shyer and cautious, but both are loveable and friendly-- and did we mention playful?

"I Can't Go for That" is definitely
NOT part of their vocabulary! They're kittens and they love to explore their environment!

These "Private Eyes" are watching you, waiting for snuggles, love and the possibility of a Churu or Temptations treat. Expect them to jump up on your kitchen counters and beg as you're cooking! 😂

Their mom was a real "Maneater." Watch out here she comes and she will chew you up would be fair because she is a feral cat. We were fortunate enough to trap her and get her spayed! She's now free to roam the countryside without babies following her.

Hall and Oates are absolutely adorable as a pair and we would strongly prefer they get to keep their dynamic duo going and are able to sing together for life.

Their adoption fee is $200.

Both boys are neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and healthy!

They are being fostered in Island Lake.

Are you looking for volunteer opportunities?

Fierce would love to have your help!

We are currently searching for volunteers who are willing to drive cats to scheduled veterinary appointments in McHenry.

We also could use help bringing groups of kittens to clinics that are approximately 45 minutes to an hour each way.

Fierce has several events coming up! We will be helping at the Richmond Wine Walk on September 12th and could use a few people to help us keep track of kittens that we are bringing to showcase.

We also have a continuing need for foster homes. We are getting slammed with requests from our community to help with kittens being found outdoors. We cannot continue to intake more kittens without more foster homes stepping up.

We are so incredibly grateful for any volunteers who take the time to help outdoor cats. It is more time intensive than people realize. There are multiple steps that need to be taken to help each and every cat we help.

Earlier this week we posted about trapping cats in Ridgefield.

We are happy to announce that all four ladies are now safe and in a foster home! We've started vaccines and deworming. They will likely be available for adoption in a few weeks!

We wanted to clarify for our followers that we are a completely volunteer-run organization. None of us take a salary. Every single penny we bring in as donations is spent saving animals.

Unfortunately that means we're limited to helping only a small number of cats that need help. We can help more cats if we have more volunteers and more foster homes.

Please consider signing up and helping either us or another organization in our area to save as many cats as we can before the weather gets cold. 💜

Opal is going to be spoiled and pampered by her new family!

She has quite a nice farm to wander once she acclimates to her new environment.

Our House of Hope in Libertyville is a non-profit pet food pantry program run by an amazing woman named Lisa.

Her group has added a much needed way to support domestic violence survivors to keep their pets with their families in times of crisis.

Please help us in supporting local initiatives like this. People in our community need programs like this to survive and thrive.

We are so proud of other rescue organizations in this area who help our community.

When you have already trapped three of four kittens of a group, it's time to bring out the drop trap before it rains!

Being a cat rescue volunteer is a lot like fishing! They have to come out and they have to bite.

We usually try to focus on the positive aspect of cats and kittens and rescuing.

Yesterday morning, however, we had a terrifying situation that we would like to bring to light just in case it helps someone else in the future.

Our volunteer foster mom, Kathy, woke up yesterday morning to a critical emergency situation with one of her foster kittens, Zeppelin.

Overnight, Zeppelin and his siblings must have been playing on a small cat tree. At some point, Zeppelin became stuck in strings attached to the cat tree.

When Kathy walked in, he was choking and unable to breathe. He was unconscious. Kathy quickly began CPR and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

Zeppelin began breathing on his own and came back to consciousness. We rushed him to Animal Hospital of McHenry for treatment and observation.

Today Zeppelin is back with his siblings and he has forgotten all about losing several lives yesterday morning.

Please be careful with any toys that you give your pets. Any toy can become hazardous. It's nobody's fault when an accident occurs, but prevention is always better when possible. It's impossible to prevent or predict every issue with pets.

Thank you to our volunteer, Kathy, for her quick action. She literally saved his life yesterday and we couldn't be more proud of her for doing so.

We're extremely happy to report that Zeppelin is doing great today.
