Pumpkin Spice (known around the barn as Nick or Nugget) is a great all-around horse. This coming 8-year-old is a registered Connemara Sport Horse, expertly bred for his intelligence and versatility. At 15.2 he is the perfect size for a petite rider. Don’t let his size fool you - he has the stride length to be competitive, while being able to take all the handy inside turns. He has clean lead changes, and will jump from anywhere (he always jumps the jump). In the last 2 years he has shown successfully in the jumper ring with a 12 year old rider at A and B rated shows. He has comfortable and symmetrical gaits and is supple in the bridle, all of which make him a joy to ride! Nick is confident out in a field and on trails, is happy being ridden ba****ck, and has his dressage basics down (leg yield, shoulder in, turn on the forehand and haunches, etc). He has all the skills one would want on the ground, including lunging, groundwork, clipping, and hauling. Despite being perfectly well behaved for small children, he is best suited for a rider who knows proper w/t/c aids so he can show off his skills properly! This handsome horse is available to try at the Horse Park at Woodside and will continue to show and develop until sold. Low five figures.
