Hello Valley Oak Family:
Those of you who know me personally are aware that I barely exist in the world of social media, but I am told that this is the best means to directly reach as many of you as possible, since it would be impossible to express my gratitude to everyone in person. It is with mixed emotions that we share both the excitement in finding and selecting such a qualified replacement as Dr. Singh and feel the sadness of having to say goodbye to all of you individuals who make up the Valley Oak Family. We have had the tremendous opportunity to care for the furry members of your families, in many cases, for their entire lives. That is why we are so pleased to pass the torch to Dr. Singh, with the full knowledge that his plans and visions mirror those of our own. Dr. Singh shares in our passion for helping the community, especially where it comes to rescue organizations, having done countless surgeries for the shelter and rescue organizations in Stockton. In addition to sharing this goal, Dr. Singh is also a very accomplished surgeon, having taken part in over 90 knee surgeries as well as the ability to repair some fractures. Once the hospital is able to acquire the necessary equipment, this will bring a much needed service to the community, which usually requires the use of specialists often with lengthy wait times. Furthermore, Dr. Singh has extensive experience in emergency medicine, far exceeding my own. He will be adding these extremely valuable skills to the area and our hospital. His desire is to continue with our practice model, providing high quality veterinary care at a reasonable price, with a family atmosphere. In fact, Dr. Singh is attempting to maintain all staff members and continue to be the primary medical support for Crash Fund Inc./ Pickles Co. and their tremendous rescue efforts. Just as we are, Dr. Singh and his family are also Woodland residents, invested in the community that he will continue to serve in our place. We hope that you are as excited as we are to see where Dr. Singh can take our Valley Oak Family in the future. If you would like me to introduce you to Dr. Singh, please call the offce at 530 661-6810 and reserve a time that we can say hello, as of course the focus of his time must be on continuing to provide medical care to our furry friends. Over the next several months I will continue to consult with Dr. Singh and help him in as many ways as possible. Of course, we will all be together at the Crash Fund event on 4/5/2025, just don’t be upset if I don’t remember your name without your pet standing next to you! LOL. Best wishes and thanks for trusting me with your beloved pet.
Sincerely,
Rich Thornburgh, DVM
