ASDEC was founded in 2002 in Woodlake, CA to teach students to train dogs to help people. At ASDEC, high school students train their own dog over 90 commands.

We assist our community by training our dogs to help the physically and mentally handicapped. We train for seizure alert, diabetic alert, and a variety of other disa After two years, the dog will either become a social therapy dog or a certified service dog. The dog is then placed with a mentally or physically handicapped individual. Our dogs are trained over 90 commands. They include:
•

Switching on and off lights
• Opening and closing doors
• Opening refrigerator, bringing back a drink
• Opening and unloading your dryer
• Helping undress
• Picking up and retrieving dropped items like:
♦ leash, pencil, keys, coins, crutches, newspapers

ASDEC is so thankful to those individuals, clubs, and organizations who have donated or contributed to our this year.
