The CWBC decided to put on a second specialty weekend this year. We decided to enter a few dogs and our efforts meant that we walked away with some amazing wins. I’ll try to remember them all.

Sweepstakes – under judge Terri Erickson

Skylar (Youngsong Chasing Dreams At Outwest) bred by Lisa Young and Jenni Nieft and co-owned by Sarah Sweetman, piloted by Dolly Stearns won Best 15 and then Best In Sweepstakes.

Leo (Kazuri Wonderlust Trouble At the Top) bred by Malia Throop and Sarah Sweetman, owned by the Jaycee family, piloted by Malia won Best Opp in 15s and then Best Opp In Sweeps.

Potato (Kazuri N JoyfulNoise Sunshine on a cloudy day) bred by Sarah Sweetman and Dolly Stearns and owned by Kayla Bonnin and Sarah Sweetman, shown by Kayla won Best 13 in Sweeps.

Then in the CWBC specialty under judge Dr Camille McArdle DMV

Nick (MBISS MBIS GCHP Kazuri’s All I Want For Christmas ATT CGCU FDC BCAT) won 15s BOV and BOVOH and then went on to winning the specialty!

Cardi B (Kazuri’s A Little Sweet A Little Spicy) Bred and owned by Sarah Sweetman won 13s Winners Bitch for her second major at 6.5 months old

Milo (Kazuri’s Want Some Milo Magic) Bred by Sarah Sweetman and co-owned by Sarah Minzer won 13s WD/BOW/Best Opp for his second major at 6.5 months. He went on to win Best Puppy In Show! He finished on Sunday after only 2 weekends in the ring.

Potato (Kazuri N JoyfulNoise Sunshine on a cloudy day) won Select B in 13s with owner Kayla

Savannah (GCHB Kazuri’s Gonna Be Peachy ATT CGC FDC FCAT) bred by Sarah Sweetman and co-owned and shown by Malia Throop won an Award of Merit in 13s.

Dunkin (Kazuri’s Do-Nut Give Me Trouble) bred by Sarah Sweetman, owned and shown by Diane and Aldo Branch got Winners Dog in 15s

Olivia Newton John (Kazuri’s Summer Lovin’) bred and owned by Sarah Sweetman, shown by Sarah and Dolly, won Winners B/BOW/Best of Opp over a special in 15s. She also won Best Bred By Exhibitor in Show!

To say that it was an incredible day for Kazuri and the team – I am so thankful for the people who trusted me and my breeding program to have my dogs part of their world

I am a few days late, but I feel like the Silver Falls shows deserved it’s own set of brags 🙂 There were 3 All Breed Shows that we attended alongside the CWBC beagle specialty show (I'll post about that again too)

I will go down dog by dog, as we had a wonderful weekend

Nick (MBISS MBIS GCHP Kazuri’s All I Want For Christmas ATT CGCU FDC BCAT) won BOVOH and Best Bred by under judge Mrs. Nancy Lovelady in15s. Nick then went on to an OH Group 2 under judge Mr Michael Savage, and a Bred By Hound Group 1 under judge _ and Bred By Reserve Best In Show under judge Regina Lee Bryant – what a day! Nick also won BOV/OH under judge Mrs Pamela Lambie and went on to a Hound Group 4 under judge Dr Camille McArdle DMV. Amazing!

Cardi B (Kazuri’s A Little Sweet A Little Spicy) won 13s Winners Bitch for a 4 point major under Mrs. Nancy Lovelady so now she has both at 6.5 months and only 2 weekends of showing

Milo (Kazuri’s Want Some Milo Magic) in 13s got WD/BOW/Best Opp for a 4 point major under judge Mrs. Nancy Lovelady, and then surprised us all by going WD/BOW and BOV to finish his CH in 2 weekends under judge Mr Nichloas Frost! What a way to finish.

Olivia Newton John (Kazuri’s Summer Lovin’) Winners B/BOW/Best of Opp over a special in 15s under both Mrs. Nancy Lovelady and Mrs Pamela Lambie.

Skylar (Youngsong Chasing Dreams At Outwest) won 13s WB/Best Opp for her second 5 point major under judge Mr Nichloas Frost

Bella (Kazuri N JoyfulNoise Little Miss Sunshine) won WB/BOV under hound judge Mrs Pamela Lambie for a 5 point major, finishing her CH title

Leo (Kazuri Wonderlust Trouble At the Top) won WD under Mrs. Nancy Lovelady and Mrs Pamela Lambie to add another 4 points towards his CH title. He now has 10 points including a 5 point major.

Miles (Kazuri’s Every Road Leads Me Home) won WD under judge Mr Nichloas Frost for his first points

And last but not least, our Cavalier King Charles, Charlie (Kazuri’s Mystery Of Hope) finished his CH title by going WD under judge Mr. David L Kittredge - thank you to Baylee for presenting him so beautifully

We came home with 3 new champions! To say we were exhausted was an understatement – but thrilled also. Thank you so much to Malia, Dolly, Kayla, Alyssa who stepped into the ring with my dogs to help out with WD/WB. I appreciate you all so much!

2025 is a wrap - this was my busiest year in the show ring by far! But also, the most incredible. I am so thankful for the community within beagles and also in other breeds that have been so fun to see week after week at shows, go to dinners with, encourage and cheer for each other.
