I took Promise to the Donida Summer Show this past weekend. She sat out last season (2022), because I discovered she had gastric ulcers, and she was clearly in a lot of pain. We focused on getting her healthy and happy and then went back to basics (for her this means lots of suppling, relaxation, and connection). I'm so happy with the progress she's made; Saturday was a bit rough; she was too frisky in the show ring, and I just had to try not to upset her too much. But Sunday, boy did we have FUN. She was so willing and ridable. We scored a 68% at Second Level Test 3. I'm so happy with how the show went and looking forward to the next show, Donida in July.
