🎉 𝗔𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗨𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗙𝗨𝗟 𝗢𝟮𝗢 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧! 🐴❤️

We are thrilled to share that Chewbacca Skippabar—affectionately known as Chewie—has officially found his forever home through our O2O Program! Even better, he’s started an exciting new chapter with a new name: Woodrow.

Woodrow was welcomed home this past weekend by his new owner, Mark, who was looking for the perfect trail partner and a steady companion for his c**t in training. From the moment he arrived, Woodrow settled right in and has already bonded with his two new pasture pals—Smokey the c**t and Moonshine the pony. ❄️🐎🐴

Mark shared this wonderful update with us, and we couldn’t love it more:

“𝘐 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘮, 𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳.”

Mark also shared the special (and very Texan 😉) story behind Woodrow’s new name. After meeting Chewie for the first time, Mark knew he was “the one,” but decided that, being from Texas himself, he would need a name change. He chose Woodrow, inspired by Lonesome Dove, his favorite movie, and in honor of his beloved Appaloosa Augustus, whom he rode for 25 years.

From meeting Woodrow for the first time, to a warm welcome from Mark’s granddaughters, to snowy mornings shared with new friends, this is exactly the kind of happy ending (and beginning!) our O2O Program is all about.

Congratulations to Woodrow and Mark—we wish you many safe trails, snowy mornings, and years of partnership ahead! 🐎✨

✨ 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗦𝗘𝗦, 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗬 𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚! ✨

We are over the moon to share a heart-warming update about Macey, Pearl, and Blondie — three beautiful mares who came into our program in need of new homes. 💕

When Sofia first reached out, it was only about giving Macey a loving place as a companion for her horse Remi, who had recently lost his two pasture buddies. But once Sofia met the trio, she simply couldn’t bear to separate them.

So she did something incredible — 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘.

For their original owner, who was hoping to honor the memory of her late husband by keeping his girls together, this was the greatest gift she could have received. Knowing they would remain side-by-side brought her immense peace and comfort.

We recently received an update from Sofia — complete with adorable photos — and we’re thrilled to share that Macey, Pearl, and Blondie are settling in beautifully with their new equine friend Remi! The four of them are already becoming a little herd of their own.

💖 𝘼 𝙃𝙐𝙂𝙀, 𝙃𝙀𝘼𝙍𝙏𝙁𝙀𝙇𝙏 𝙏𝙃𝘼𝙉𝙆 𝙔𝙊𝙐 to Sofia for giving these girls the forever home they deserved. Your compassion changed their lives.

✨𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘✨

Meet 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿'𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗼𝗶𝗻 (aka "Jay"), a handsome 2001, 15.2h registered Tennessee Walking Horse gelding ready for his next loving home. His devoted owners can no longer provide him with the equine companionship he deserves and hope to find him a safe, happy place where he’ll have a friend and continued care.

Jay is gaited and handled his first ride in over a year beautifully. He was a bit pokey in the paddock, but his owners told us he enjoys moving out on the trail. He would best suited for a confident intermediate rider.

Gentle and well-mannered to handle, Jay still has a touch of stubbornness -- he knows 𝘩𝘰𝘸 to pick up his feet, but wants to see if you'll 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 him pick up his feet 🤪-- but with patience and consistency, he’s a sweetheart who loves attention (and treats!).

Barefoot and happy living out 24/7 with stall access, Jay would thrive in a quieter home where he can enjoy companionship and a slower pace of life.

𝗗𝗦𝗥 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝘄𝗷𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻 (𝘢𝘬𝘢 𝘚𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘺 𝘗𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘴) is a cute 2010, ~14.2h registered Quarter Horse gelding seeking a home, along with his friend Buck (previously featured). Smarty Pants' owner states he would make a great Western trail horse for an intermediate rider.

Overall, Smarty Pants is a good guy. He is well-behaved on the ground, if a bit nosey when it comes to looking for attention or treats. A little work in that respect to reinforce some manners and respect of personal space would be beneficial.

An easy-keeper, turned out 24/7, and updated on vaccinations, Smarty Pants is ready to find his new home. He is currently kept with one other gelding and it is unknown how he would do with mares.

𝗕𝘂𝗰𝗸 is a 2010, 15h grade Quarter Horse gelding seeking a home due to his owner's physical limitations making it difficult to continue caring for him.

Buck has been used primarily for Western trail rides. He came to his current owner with anxiety and a lack of confidence, for which his owner has worked very hard at overcoming. With time and lots of reassurance, Buck has grown more comfortable but will continue to require someone with the patience and experience to continue supporting him. He would be best suited for a patient intermediate rider.

Buck does have navicular in his left front, which is being managed with bar shoes on both fronts and OsPhos every spring. He is turned out 24/7 with free access to shelter as needed. He's an easy-keeper and currently turned out with one other gelding.

We just heard from Tito's owner and she said that he's doing very well - So well that she's seriously considering hopping on him again to see how he does!

‼️𝙉𝙊𝙒 𝘼𝙑𝘼𝙄𝙇𝘼𝘽𝙇𝙀‼️

𝗔𝘄𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲, 𝗮𝗸𝗮 "𝗝𝗮𝘆", is a 2006, 16.2h registered Thoroughbred gelding seeking a home as a companion or pleasure/trail horse for an intermediate rider. Retired from racing in 2013 after 32 starts and over $185,000 in career earnings, Jay is now looking to live out his golden years in a quiet, consistent environment.

During the four years that Jay's current owner has had him, they have enjoyed primarily trail rides. Now, due to life changes that make it difficult to continue horse ownership, his owner is hoping to find an owner at the confident intermediate level, both on the ground an under saddle, who will enjoy him just as much. Jay is a sweet guy, but he does lack some confidence in new situations and would do well with someone who possesses the patience and experience to help him through those moments. On the trail, he has been ridden along roads, fields and woods. Jay is convinced the boogieman lives in water, so he does need some encouragement in that respect.

Jay is known as "best friend Jay" at his barn, because he gets along with any horse with whom he's turned out. This boy is a harder keeper, so he'd do best turned out on good quality grass. He's UTD on everything and ready to go!
