I apologize for the lack of posts. We have big changes happening here on the homestead. But I thought I'd hop on to remind you, that Bernese Mountain dogs are pretty much the best snugglers of all ages. Also, that Riya and Russell both turn 2 this year...that means a good possibility for PUPPIES.🥰🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍

I will forever brag about these gentle, fluffy, bears.
This is exactly why I chose to become a breeder of Bernese Mountain Dogs; they are so perfect in every way. The world needs more of them, and I look forward to seeing all the smiling, excited faces of those that buy our puppies.

I am convinced there is no better way to grow up.

Animals can teach us many things, including:

Patience: Animals can teach us to take our time and not rush.

Resilience: Animals can help us learn that we can overcome major losses and that smaller obstacles are not so difficult.

Empathy: Animals can help children develop empathy.

Kindness: Pets can teach us to be kind to others.

Responsibility: Caring for an animal can teach us a sense of responsibility and respect for life.

Teamwork: Animals like ants and wolves teach us the importance of working together to achieve a goal.

Compassion: Animals like cows, pigs, sheep, chickens , dogs; show compassion by caring for their young.

Our children are constantly learning through our homestead. They have learned responsibility by caring for our animals, cleaning their pens, feeding them regularly. They have learned how to raise their own meat and also how to butcher and process their own meat.

They have learned how to prep, seed, and harvest a garden. They have also learned the basics of canning and cooking meals from scratch.

I fully believe that education is not just a curriculum, it is life lessons that will help them succeed in everything in life.

Sorry for the lack of posts, we've been busy teaching Riya how to do the dishes and earn her keep until she has pups🤪 kidding!

Really though, we have been prepping for winter! Cleaning up the garden, and getting shelters prepped for all our animals. We also adopted a lamb, that wasn't wanted by its mother. 🤷‍♀️
It's been in our house and driving me completely insane 😂

I am not ready for the cold months here on the ridge! It's extra chilly with the winds and lack of wind breaks. But we at least have a tractor this year to plow through the snow!

Last year was rough!😩

Here's to a better winter, that hopefully ends with this beautiful girl having some pups in the spring! 😉
