CHELAN COUNTY — The Chelan-Douglas Health District has confirmed that a Chelan County bat tested positive for rabies at the Washington State Public Health Laboratory on Aug. 21.

Update!
Dr. Marrone’s surgery is on hold for now, so he will be back in the office this Friday. Dr.Schmidtke will still be making her guest appearances as scheduled, so the doc can have a few extra days off over the holiday.

Happy Howlidays!
As of this Wednesday December 13th, Dr.Marrone Will be out of the office for at least 3 weeks to have a much needed knee replacement surgery. The office will remain open for prescription refills, grooming etc. while he is out.
During the time over the holidays while he is recovering, we will also have a local partially retired vet Dr. Michelle Schmidtke a few days a week for necessary appointments.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but hope you are understanding during this time.

We are so happy to see little Joey, who had a successful experimental eye surgery done by Dr. Marrone is becoming a star 🌟
Many felines from Okanogan county are adopted out via the Noah Center in Stanwood. They’re a crucial resource for our county cat shelter Animal Foster Care Cat Shelter. Every 2 weeks a van load of adoptable felines make the journey over the passes from our county to NOAH to find homes. Follow The NOAH Center to see her full story and the full song that awaits!

🐈 Hal may have lost his sight, but he hasn't lost his chance at a happy home! Hal's mom shares that he's already figured out the house's layout and spends his time either playing with toys or cuddling next to her. ❤️
