🔎 Spot the Symptoms: Heat Stroke 🐾

Heat stroke in animals is a very serious issue, and can quickly become a life-threatening emergency. Knowing what signs to look for could save your pet’s life!

Key symptoms of heat stroke include:
•Bright red or pale gums
•Disorientation
•Stumbling
•Excessive panting
•Diarrhea
•Muscle tremors
•Vomiting
•Excessive drooling
•Collapse

If you notice your dog showing any of these signs, act fast. Heat stroke requires immediate care, and you need to bring your animal in to see a veterinarian as soon as possible.

If you come across a neonatal kitten, taking the right action immediately is critical for their survival. Here are the essential steps to follow:

1️⃣ Take Them to a Veterinary Professional: Have the kitten evaluated right away to assess overall health, check for dehydration, and determine precise age and weight.

2️⃣ Administer Kitten Milk Replacer (KMR): Feed specialized KMR using an appropriate kitten bottle or syringe. Do NOT feed cow’s milk, as it can cause severe digestive distress.

3️⃣ Keep Them Warm: Neonatal kittens cannot regulate their own body temperature. Ensure they are placed on a warm blanket with a safe, indirect heat source.

📌 Save this post for quick reference, and follow along for Part 2 to see a demonstration of feeding and bathroom stimulation.
