Our good friend, Lucy Socks, crossed the rainbow bridge today. She was one of a kind, stubborn, easy-going and goofy. Just a sweet, gentle giant. We will miss her so much, but know she’s just next door. RIP Lucy.

We are looking for people who love being around animals. Pet sitters must be trustworthy, able to maintain a schedule, and have reliable transportation. We do in-home pet sitting, so we travel to our clients’ homes to take care of their pets where their pets feel safest. We care for all kinds of companion animals, not just cats and dogs, so this person must be willing to learn about and interact with many different species. This is a part time position and we can flex around your school schedule, though we do need you to be available most weekdays and on the weekends. The perfect applicant will have the following attributes…

-Must love the company of animals. Some are sweet and easy and some are challenging and mischievous.
-Be able to check your schedule using our online app every day and do your pet sitting visits as assigned.
-Must be trustworthy and have references. You will be trusted to take care of our clients’ most precious family members.
-Must be physically strong enough to handle very large dogs, (some who may be heavier than you!) and gentle enough to care for newborn kittens.
-Willing and able to work in all types of weather. We go rain or shine. There are no snow days.
-Must be a self-starter and able to think independently and creatively.
-Reliable transportation is essential.
-Prompt in communicating. We need to be able to reach you at any time (through the app and/or text message) throughout your assigned visit schedule.
-Our most-requested sitters are friendly and personable. Sometimes you may bump into a client coming home early. We would like you to impress that person when this happens. Being able to hold a conversation with many different types of people may not be a skill you have developed yet, but you will have when your time with us is done!
-Must not be squeamish about getting dirty or breaking a sweat. You will eventually do both in this job. It Isn’t always hard - most of the time we find ourselves In disbelief that we get paid to do what we do because it is genuinely JOYFUL work, but the tough days can be pretty rough.
