In all my years breeding I've never had a momma self cull her own litter. OBT is my first. She did not want to be a mom it seems. Unless there was something wrong with all 5 babies...which seems unlikely, but maybe. This is of course a behavior I will not tolerate or perpetuate in the line. OBT is such a sweet, sweet lady, so will eventually be pet placed in a home and not bred again. I'll be assessing her cagemates and seeing who of similar age I can home her with. Very upsetting and hopefully she is a fluke for her line.

There shouldn't be any this generation, unless Mozzie surprise carries. But every baby carries it since momma Paper is Golden! Golden only shows well on Agouti based c-locus rats. So I will not be keeping any of the normal tonkinese babies. Clank, Tink and Vidia will stay to continue this line and the trio will hopefully produce my first Golden Tonks (and they should also throw Golden Siamese/Siamese).
