Charles and Romeo recently got the glow-up they desperately needed, thanks to the generosity of our donors and the incredible team at PurrLife Pet Resort and Spa! ✨

While these two charming boys aren’t quite ready for adoption just yet, they’re soaking up the love at HSDC as they continue their medical treatments and gain some much-needed weight. They’ve quickly become staff and volunteer favorites—always ready for a head boop or chin scratch.

ADOPTED!

Ted is a handsome tabby fella! He is around 5 years old and is very sweet! When he first came to us, he would rather be petted then carried around like a lap cat. He was very scared and shy at first but now he’s a favorite at Petsmart. He sleeps on the volunteers and is the most laid back cat you’ll meet. We think he will warm up once he gets settled in to a loving home who will give him the chance to become a lazy housecat! Introducing Jenn!!! She will be assisting us while Sarah is out on medical leave. Everyone welcome Jenn to the team!!! Read a little more about her below!!

My name is Jenn. I have lived in Davie County my whole life. I have 11 cats & 2 dogs of my own. I have been petsitting since 2018 and have experience with farm animals as well. I am able to administer shots and pills to cats and dogs. My hobbies include reading, playing Pokemon Go, swimming, and gardening. I love Halloween and summertime. I went to high school with Sarah but we didn’t become close friends until around 2012. I’m currently working with Sarah at Learfield as an accountant and I also work at Target part-time.

Tater is the last of the potato puppies found in a plastic tote stranded on the road a couple months ago. Tater is a sweet and playful puppy. He's good with dogs, cats, and kids. He’s learning how to do all the dog life activities.

Tater is a lovable and energetic pup. He loves playing tag with his tiny humans and getting his belly rubbed. He gets along well with everyone he comes in contact with. House training is going great! He will make someone an amazing companion.

Good morning! Sarah here! Just a quick announcement for our furry clients and their parents! I will be going out on medical leave starting on June 25th for 6-8 weeks. Don’t you fret though, I’ll be back and better than ever before you know it. During this time 3 of the best in the business pet sitters are going to be helping out. We’ve got Zak, Zach and Jenn ( bet you thought it was going to be another spelling of Zach/Zak!) all of them have been pet sitting for many years and are all avid animals lovers. Please reach out with any questions and we can’t wait to see everyone during the summer!

Everyone meet Zach! Zach has been helping us at FurRunners since our client base has grown! He has been pet sitting for 5+ years and he offers overnight stays, daily visits, and can keep pets at his home. When Zach isn’t pet sitting, he is the Studio Host for NC State at Learfield where he’s been working for 8 years. We are very excited to have Zach as a part of the FurRunners family!

Koren Farms has been really good to us and we want to make sure to keep their beautiful property nice and clean! Please help us be respectful of their space and make sure to clean up after your pets. Also make sure to bring your favorite lawn chair or blanket and make yourself comfortable for the concert event of the year!
