I own a bilateral amputee pup (Lt. Dan) who requires a wide variety of extra care! Ranging from multiple diaper changes a day, bladder expression, occasional medication, occasional wound care, supervised play time, frequent bathing, and extra cleaning of his living areas due to messes!
I also work at a vet clinic where I learn a ton of new care techniques!

Meet Lt. Dan, aka Danny, the inspiration for not only Lt. Dan’s Pet Services, but also everything I do! Danny is a three and a half year old husky-shepherd mix who was a rescue from the brutal streets of South Texas. At a mere three months old, Danny was struck by a vehicle and left for dead at a Texas Animal Control. A local rescue, stepped up to take this sweet boy under their wing and do everything possible to nurse him back to health. And that, they did. I adopted Danny about one year ago and since then he has undergone a bilateral rear leg amputation and a tail amputation. Hence, Lt. Dan. “But you ain’t got no legs, Lt. Dan.” Forrest Gump.
This sweet pup is nothing less than a miracle and never ceases to amaze me. He hops around and utilizes his own wheelchair! He’s quicker than you would ever imagine, he lets nothing slow him down!
But what is Lt. Dan’s favorite thing? Walks. Attention. and most of all… playing. He wants all his friends to play and walk even if their parents may be a little busy during the day!
Let Lt. Dan remind us all why we rescue and please make sure to support your local rescues and shelters so they may help more pets like Danny!💗

Meet the owner of Lt. Dan's Pet Services!
Presley! She is 23 years old with a psychology degree from the University of Houston-Victoria. She has a strong passion for all things living, especially animals. Presley has many years of professional experience in pet care and has worked as a veterinary technician.
She personally owns a bilateral amputee dog who requires a wide range of specialized care in her daily routine, therefore she is more than comfortable with special needs services for your pet.
She has been pet sitting and caring for pets in a business for over 4 years. Personally, she has had pets her entire life.
She got into pet sitting for many reasons:
1. To fulfill her love of animals
2. She loves to spend time with pets and finds it to be exceptionally fulfilling in her daily life.
3. Not many pet care providers are as experienced in the special needs care her own pup requires. She realized that others may face this issue of having a pet with special needs who cannot be left unattended but for either short hours at a time or even at all and wanted to be an advocate for helping these individuals find the pet care they need.
